Is your projected shipment large or small? Shipment size will help you determine which option you should choose when shipping a container to Honduras: a full container load (FCL) or groupage (LCL).
If you plan to ship the equivalent of at least six standard pallets, then you're considered to have a full container load (FCL). A 20-foot shipping container can hold up to 10 standard pallets, while a 40-foot container accommodates 22 such pallets.
If your shipping volume is not great, but you want to ensure that your goods are kept separate from those of other exporters in transit, FCL is also your best option.
If that's not an issue, you may wish to share a container in a less-than-container (LCL) load, or groupage. Sharing a shipping container with other exporters means that you'll pay only for the space you need. iContainers can provide information for you on rates and other important details.
In some circumstances, such as when your shipment is urgent and must arrive on time, air freight may be a better choice for you than ocean freight. Air freight comes with some limitations on weight and volume, so consult iContainers' calculator to help you determine whether this is the right option for you.
