Certificate of Insurance

The insurance certificate is a receipt issued by an insurance company against a floating policy crediting the coverage of a particular commodity in a shipment.

The insurance certificate describes the risks covered by the policy, determining who is the beneficiary in case of compensation. The cost of insurance can be for the seller-exporter or the buyer, depending on the agreement between the parties. In our case, when hiring transport in CIF, we will include a certificate of insurance.
