The Release Authorization is the document that authorizes the broker to perform, on behalf of the importer or exporter, all customs formalities necessary for carrying out customs clearance, allowing goods into or out of a country.
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF RELEASE AUTHORIZATIONS:
◾ Global Release Authorization – Authorizes the broker to complete the formalities permanently, avoiding having to make an authorization for each clearance. You must complete, sign, seal and provide a bank number for it to be registered in the customs authority.
◾ Authorization for release by operation – Similar to a Global Release Authorization but exclusive authorizations one customs clearance only. In this case, you must specify the details of the goods.
The dispatch release is a mandatory document without which the customs agent cannot perform any customs formalities on behalf of the importer or exporter.
