Even though we strongly recommend using the warehouse service and allowing professionals to load the car in the container, you can do it yourself. However in these cases, responsibility for the condition of the car is placed on the shipper.
Containers will arrive on the truck without being placed on the ground. The base of the container will be around four feet in the air, requiring the loader to have a crane in order to place the car in the container. After loading the car into the container, you must remove all gas from the car and disconnect the battery. The shipper should also fasten the car into the container with its own lashes to prevent the car from moving inside the container while it is in transit.
"Don't underestimate the value of Incoterms and their impact on international trade."
