          GRIs: Announcements in the USA

As a shipper, it’s difficult to evade a GRI. But there are measures you can take to reduce its impact. By staying well-informed and planning your shipments with a GRI in mind, you can prevent your business from taking too big of a price shock.

A GRI is an average amount by which shipping carriers increase their tariff rates applied to base rates. It can considerably increase your shipping costs, mainly if you’re handling large freight volumes.

Here there is a list of the currents GRIs announcements if you need further information check our article or download our guide.

          List of GRIs announcements

          Dear Customer,

As you may already be aware, the Suez Canal had been blocked to vessels from March 23 2021 till March 29 2021, when, fortunately, the Ever Given, the vessel blocking it, was dislodged. The clearing of vessels waiting at the Suez Canal is going well and carriers are now trying to go back on schedule and minimize delays.

Unfortunately, shipping lines are now imposing restrictions regarding free time periods and release of empty equipment to avoid congestion at the ports.

Please take this into account to plan your shipment smoothly and for more information, please call us at:
