Portugal is the 44th largest economy in terms of exports. During 2017 its exports reached a value of 59.3 billion dollars, while imports marked a figure of 78.3 billion.
Portugal’s exports are very diversified, ranging from computer and technical equipment to food products. It also highlights the export of cars and vehicle parts, as well as refined oil.
Due to its geographical proximity, 21% of exports end in Spain, followed by France, with 12%, and Germany, with 11%. Outside the European Union, it is essential to emphasize its relationship with the United States, China, and Angola.
