FAK stands for Freight All Kinds.
It is a general ocean-freight rate that may apply to multiple eligible commodities instead of assigning a separate rate to each commodity.
An FAK rate only applies within its defined scope, including the trade route, container type, eligible cargo and validity period.
It can simplify pricing for eligible mixed general cargo, but Freight All Kinds does not mean every product is accepted.
Dangerous goods, refrigerated cargo, oversized freight, restricted commodities and specialized equipment may require carrier approval or separate pricing.
Terminal charges, local fees and additional surcharges may also apply unless the quotation specifically includes them.
Always confirm the cargo eligibility, route, equipment, validity, inclusions, exclusions and total applicable charges before booking.”
