Watch this short video to understand the main difference between port-to-port and door-to-door international freight services.

Port-to-port service generally covers the main freight movement between the named origin and destination ports. Transportation and other services before the origin port or after the destination port may need to be arranged separately.
Door-to-door service generally includes collection from the origin address and transportation to the specified destination address. However, it does not necessarily include customs clearance, duties, taxes, insurance or every local charge.
Always check the exact service scope shown in your freight quote.
“Port-to-port or door-to-door—which freight service fits your shipment?
Port-to-port service generally covers the main freight movement between the named origin and destination ports. The shipper must arrange services outside that scope, which may include:
Transportation to the origin port.
Export formalities.
Collection at the destination port.
Import clearance.
Final delivery.
Door-to-door service generally adds collection from the origin address and transportation to the specified final destination.
However, door-to-door does not automatically include customs clearance, duties, taxes, cargo insurance or every origin and destination charge. Exact inclusions depend on the route, Incoterm and selected services.
Compare the complete service scope and total quoted cost—not only the main freight rate—before booking.”
