If you’ve hired the services of a freight forwarder to handle your ocean freight shipment, you may want to consider scheduling your container pick up and delivery services through them as well.
Be it FCL shipping or LCL shipping, iContainers can pick up (export) and/or deliver (import) your goods from/to anywhere you want.
There are three ways to pick up/deliver your goods. These depend on whether you have booked a container service or a non-container service and whether your cargo is palletized:
When hiring a container pick up service or delivery service, it is common practice to load/unload the goods at the customer’s warehouse. Or in the case of an international move, right to and from your doorstep. At iContainers, we offer container trucking between the port and the chosen container pick up/delivery location.
If you hire this container pick up service, the container will arrive at your chosen location on the agreed date and time. You will then have 2 hours to load/unload your goods. If you need more than 2 hours, please inform us beforehand so we can help you arrange it to avoid delay fees.
When shipping a palletized but non-container shipment, you may choose between personally transporting your pallets to/from our warehouse (at no extra cost) or hiring our pallet pick up/delivery service.
If you hire this service, our personnel will pick up/deliver your pallets to the chosen location on the agreed date and time.
If it’s a non-containerized and unpalletized personal shipment, iContainers can pick your goods up at your door and take them to our warehouse to be palletized.
Important information: iContainers does not offer packing services. When hiring pick up for personal goods, it is your responsibility to ensure that your cargo is properly packed using the appropriate boxes and protected with bubble wrap.
