Moving insurance

Shipping insurance

Shipping insurance covers everything that’s handled by the shipping carrier, from the moment the goods are collected until it reaches the port of destination. Incidents covered under the marine insurance include:

  • Damages caused by container defect

  • Damages caused by loading at port and crane handling

  • Damages caused by boat sinking

The shipping insurance does not include any damages caused at the port of destination or by bad packaging.

Other moving insurance

There are other types of insurances available, such as insurance at destination, which covers any damages and/or losses that may occur once the container is unloaded at the port of destination. This insurance must be purchased directly with the agent at destination whose contact will be provided to you as soon as you finalize your booking with iContainers.
